Homeschool Field Trips
Being a homeschool mom of two, I understand the importance of a field trip every now and then. You need to get out of the house, the kids need to get out of the house and wouldn’t it be great if you could accomplish some learning all at the same time? Well, I have two beautiful words for you… FIELD TRIP!
Homeschooling can be fun; especially when you and your kids venture out on the occasional field trip. I have listed several ideas of field trips that can be educational and cost little to no money. The amount of learning your homeschool child will do on each field trip depends partly on the amount of research and prep work you do ahead of time.
It can be as simple as hopping online and looking into what exhibits a museum has, or researching if the governor will be in the state capital.. Looking into times and dates for tours certainly helps! I can tell you from personal experience, that it is not very fun when you hype up a field trip to your kids, drive all the way there, get into the building – only to find that there are no tours that day.. Trust me – it’s not fun!
